snow leopard progress - adding foliage / whiskers
I'm nearing the end of this painting now, although still more refining and detail to be added, I also need to sort out the right side foliage. As his head is more or less face on to the viewer, you need to imagine the shape of the head when adding snowflakes. I wanted Shynghyz to look almost like he has been interrupted from shuffling around the snow floor or something has caught his eye - possibly prey or a distant sound. He seems calm but alert, the empty space to his left allows the audience to interpret the painting :)
