Celebrate International Tiger Day to help raise awareness on the plight of Tigers in the wild. Critically endangered tiger species need protection now - There is no second chance!
Beautiful work Julia and great sentiment! These big cats are just so fabulous aren't they.
We have the Wildlife Heritage Foundation nearby in Kent who work hard to ensure endangered species of Big Cats are saved from extinction - they are involved in breeding a collection of big cats in conjunction with the European Rare Species Breeding Program with a view to releasing them back into their native habitat
Theyhave been very successful with the Amur Leopard and the Sumatran Tiger.
Not open to the Public - the Foundation does allow photography and/or art groups to visit on pre-booked days to raise funds and I managed to get some wonderful ref photos as a result.
Oh please do hijack away!:) All information is useful, I have heard of the photography courses and have also seen artworks as a result! They do brilliant work supporting animals and rare plant life. Perhaps some day soon I'll make in down as peoples photos I've seen are astounding! Such beautiful cats, thankyou so much for your comment it means a lot :) Jules
The plight of tigers in the wild is terrible. I think anything we can do to promote awareness is so important. Your drawing does give them a face that we can connect with, very nice work.
Love your post! I agree that we should all be aware of this sad situation. These animals are so beautiful and we should do everything to protect them. I love Sue's comment as well. As far as your finished Tiger...I'm speechless!! you are incredibly talented! I look forward to your next drawing!!
